Upendra Limaye: Shripati Alias Dada
Dada plays a farmer in the film who has to migrate from his village with his family in serach of employment to reveal his land from the moneylender.
Manoj Joshi: Raghu Savkar (Landlord & Moneylender)
Raghu is the richest man and landlord in the village. Dada mortgages his land to him for digging well but have failed in his attempt hence have to work in Raghu’s farm for repaying his depts.
Vaishnavi Tangde: Vacchi (Vasanti)
Vacchi is a protagonist of the movie, daughter of dada who is very brilliant in her studies and dream of appearing for her scholarship but due to Dada’s decision and fear has to leave her school but still continues her studies despite of all odds and finally appears for her exams.
Vidyadhar Joshi: Mukadam (Supervisor)
Dada’s family and other sugarcane cutters works under Mukadam’s supervision a very shrewd and cunning person, Vacchi proves him wrong and has to pay Dada his fair wages.
Kanchan Jadhav: Maay (Laxmi)
Maay means mother as a mother of Vacchi she is always in dilemma either to support Vacchi for education or be on one side of Dada who is also right in his view of earning moey for survival.
Sanjay Mone: School Principal
A Very gentle & humble school Principal always encourges Vacchi to appear for her scholarship exams.
Akanksha Pingale: (Akanksha)
Daughter of Mukadam becomes friend of Vacchi when she returns her Pen while going to school and teaches her math in sugarcane fields.

Mama (Younger brother of Maay) is still single in his thirties grabs the job opportunity as a sugarcane cutter labourer and persuades Dada’s family to migrate too.

Dinu is younger brother of Vacchi is unaware of all the situations around him. His innocence adds a natural warmth to the film.
